Scope of Services
Serving as the Construction Management team, Bluestone Construction oversaw the installation of concrete, miscellaneous metals including platforms, handrails, bollard and guard-rails and new power distribution to crane and conveyor control panels as well as overall coordination with the crane and conveyor supplier. In order to remove the existing stacker cranes and install new cranes, individual sections of the existing roof deck were removed and then replaced with new deck sections. This included removing existing metal roofing and roof insulation down to the existing roof deck. The scope of the project also included demolition of existing conveyors and cranes and installation of new heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

Bluestone Construction was contracted to manage the replacement of pallet storage cranes and conveyors used in an Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) for the high bay portion of Smith's Layton distribution warehouse.
In addition to providing field supervision and accounting support, Bluestone Construction provided coordination of subcontractor agreements directly with Kroger including Witron Logistics, the automation contractor. Bluestone Construction administered preconstruction meetings, weekly progress meetings, monthly control meetings to monitor work progress and project close-out.
